Not cool, GQ. Not cool. Rollins is about so much more than bank accounts and jet skis. Ok, for some of us, at least…

Make It Work
I’m borrowing this phrase from Project Runway and applying it to my life this week.

Daughters of Industry
Recognize the voice? I thought so :) ”False Memory” is just one of the many stunning tracks on which you can hear me, along with the genius of Joe Frawley and Greg Conte. Listen (and download!) the rest of Daughters of Industry by the Joe Frawley Ensemble HERE.
I know that sometimes, you get the sense from TV that you can be rich and...

17 Again
I watched that movie last night (and happened to love it), so I wasn’t surprised when I had a related dream. I always dream about things I watch, hear, or talk about before going to bed, which can sometimes turn out pretty badly. Especially when I watch that show “I Survived” and then have a nightmare that I’m in one of those situations.
Well anyway, my dream last night...

Grassrootsy Interviews Allison Weiss →
I could read this kind of stuff all day long. I only wish I’d have known when I was in college what I really wanted to do, and just went ahead and did it.

Blah.
I have been a horrible blogger of late. Mostly because I don’t have much to blog about, sad as that is. This summer has basically consisted of working, taking care of the dog, laundry, wash, rinse, repeat. Compared to last summer - jetting off to Vegas, getting married, vacationing in St. Lucia - this summer is not even in the same league. No big trips, no life-changing events; just...

The Best Job Ever
Sometimes being a music therapist can be really frustrating. Other times, it is incomprehensible that I get paid to do what I do. Like today, for example. I danced around with scarves to songs from High School Musical 2. I picked out the melody to “The Bare Necessities” on the piano because it is one of my students’ favorite songs. I wrote a song about camping. Yep, I...

I should be scoring songs about counting and telling time right now, but I’m not. Instead, I’m hanging out on the couch with my computer on my lap, watching “Weeds” and relishing the fact that tomorrow is Friday and I don’t have to go to the gym at 5 am. (It’s summer, and I’m allowed to have three days off.)
Maybe tomorrow will be the day that I cross...

Monday mornings.
I actually really like them, unlike most people. I feel like I have a fresh slate, that I have a chance to start over and do things better than I did them last week. I had a ridiculously lazy weekend, and as awesome as that was, I am ready to be a productive member of society.
Monday is my busiest day of the week. It’s perfect that way; the rest of the week is cake after today. My goals...
